In the midst of a dry, desert place I saw a well full of pure, fresh water. I also saw a road a little distance away from the well.
Then, I saw people travelling along the road of life. The well was visible to those that were travelling along the road. Some would pass by the well without stopping. They would look at it and say to themselves, “Oh, there is a well, but this is not for me.” Others would stop occasionally and fill a small cup with water, drinking it quickly and then go busily on their way again. A few people would stop to drink more often and more deeply – even these did not stay long. Most of the people who came to the well only stopped briefly to take a small drink on occasion.
Then, I heard the Lord say, “I want to make rivers flow in the desert, but it starts with you. You have only begun to dip into My well. You need to drink and drink and drink from My well, which never runs dry. It is My presence, My love, My very being. It is My living water. You need to pour buckets over you and pour it into you so that you are immersed in it and it flows out from where you stand like a mighty river.”
Afterward, I could see a person who stayed at the well, continually drinking and pouring buckets of water over their head. From this person, the water flowed out into the desert like a river bringing life wherever it went.
I received this vision from the Lord in December of 1994.
