In this vision, I saw a man standing upright, facing toward me. I could tell that he was wearing a black business suit, though I only actually saw him from the waist down. Then, as if I was viewing this man through a camera lens, the vision began to zoom in until all I could see was the pocket of his suit jacket.
When I asked the Lord the meaning of this vision, He answered by telling me that it depicts how His people view Him. Then He allowed me to feel the sadness in His heart as He said, “Many of My people don’t seek My face and they don’t even have a desire to really know Me. They only want what I can give to them; therefore, their focus is on My pocket.”
The truth of His words pierced my heart like a sword causing me to cry many tears of sorrow, remorse and repentance.
This visionary experience was the beginning of a much needed spiritual awakening, which created an intense desire in my heart to really know and love God just for who He is, not for what He can do for me.
